The name of this album was inspired after a memorable sail with Captain Archie Kalepa on the wa'a kaulua Mānaiakalani - a symbol of hope, guidance, and the lifelong pursuit of knowledge. Each mele is a vessel, carrying the legacies, memories, and 'ike of our kūpuna across time and space, guided by the light and love of ke Akua.
